Nestled in the heart of Halibut Cove, our boutique Alaskan lodge is surrounded by some of Alaska’s most beautifully hidden hiking trails, glaciers and world-class fishing. You can start your day with early morning yoga or sleep in until its time for gourmet breakfast before heading off on your daily adventure. Whether seeking thrills, reeling in the big one or quietly observing wildlife, our guides will design an ideal itinerary (with plenty of Alpenglow's Alaska's Best Insect Repellant on hand!) End your adventure back at the lodge with a soothing massage or a soak in our spa before meeting for cocktail hour and 5-star dinner prepared by our culinary team. All our menus highlight local, fresh foods, focusing on organically and Alaska-grown and raised. Like Alpenglow, we have our own organic garden. At the lodge, just steps from the dining room, we harvest vibrant greens and fresh herbs, amazing berries and edible flowers to adorn our meals.
In Alaska, home of the midnight sun, evenings are made for kicking up your feet and gathering around the fire with friends and family. Music, shared stories and cocktails around the fire are the perfect way to end your adventurous day before retiring to your private log cabin. Take in the sights from your balcony with views of the ocean, mountains and magnificent sunsets. Inside our hand-built guest cabins, we feature Alpenglow’s locally-made Face, Hand & Body Wash, Shampoo, Shea Butter Lotion, and Face Cream for an indulgent self-spa experience.
Guests often ask about Alpenglow’s wonderfully handcrafted skin and hair care products, and we feel good telling them all about this fabulous family-owned business: the organically home-grown herbs, foraged flowers, and wholesome ingredients; growing, harvesting, pouring and mixing is all done by family; the packaging is recyclable; and for those of us dealing in bulk, the jugs are refillable! After many requests by our guests, we are now featuring a hand-curated array of Alpenglow Skin Care products in our lodge gift shop so guests can take some home with them to share or relish. The delightful scent will bring you right back to Alaska every time!
