Our Products

We hand-harvest wild Alaskan herbs and flowers in their peak of nutrition and then dry them in our greenhouse for optimal capture and storage of phytonutrients. The botanicals chosen for our hair products are very beneficial for scalp and hair health improving resilience and strength, the foundation for healthy hair.

We start our flowers from seed in the dark, cold days of February and transplant to our greenhouse and high tunnel in April and May. These organic lavender flowers have been loved for 6 months before harvest, and then they are dried and ground for optimal nutrition. Lavender is Susan’s favorite essential oil because the scent is heavenly and it’s beneficial in so many ways.

Our family spends many hours during our precious short summer harvesting wild plants and tending what we grow. We pass on those organic nutrients in the most concentrated, beneficial format combined with organic oils that don’t coat hair but absorb into the hair shaft effectively moisturizing without weighing hair down.

You can see the hand-made nature of Alpenglow products and the labor-intensive operation that is so different from a corporation. Alpenglow products are like food for the skin and hair, right? So let me draw the analogy to lasagna. The Alpenglow lasagna is made by growing our own tomatoes, basil and herbs to make the sauce. And then we milk our cows to make the cheese. We make the noodles from the wheat we grow. Many, many hours go into each step of making this type of lasagna, but it is incredibly tasty, healthy and better ecologically than any lasagna you’ll find in the store. The commercial skin and hair care industry, no matter how it’s marketed – they are providing you the frozen Costco lasagna. The two lasagnas are totally different in all regards. And Alpenglow Skin & Hair Care products are totally different than any commercial mass-marketed product.

Our Conditioning & Styling Hair Treatment is beneficial for all hair types and safe for color-treated hair. Our formula has no alcohol, parabens, sulfates or plasticizers – nothing synthetic. Our botanical phytonutrients improve hair texture and appearance by conditioning and moisturizing naturally. It smells divine but not overpowering.

Use our Conditioning & Styling Hair Treatment after your shower, after you towel dry your hair. Apply sparingly to your palm and disperse in hands then finger-comb hair, making sure to treat ends. Use to moisturize and condition hair, then style. It enhances volume, definition and shine. It smoothes split ends and tames frizzy hair. It provides a soft hold. Very concentrated.
